Mr. Dwayne Blazina, Principal
Mr. Dwayne Blazina joined Orangewood Elementary as the principal in January, 2024. This is his twenty second year in education. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Florida State University. Mr. Blazina began his teaching career in The School District of Lee County at Orange River Elementary in 2002 and continued his career at Ray V. Pottorf Elementary before going back to school and receiving his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2008. Mr. Blazina was an assistant principal for eleven years. He was an assistant principal at Cape Elementary, Ray V. Pottorf Elementary, and G. Weaver Hipps Elementary. He also worked at the school district office for three years as Administrator Constituent Services in Student Services. He has called Fort Myers his home for over 28 years. He has worked on many committees including Leadership Team, School Improvement, PBS Positive Behavior Support, and as a Kagan Cooperative Learning presenter and coach. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and going to the beach.
Mrs. Kori Tracey, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Tracey joined Orangewood in 2020 as a Peer Collaborative Teacher. She has taught Kindergarten-fifth grade. Mrs. Tracey has her Specialist in Education Leadership from the American College of Education. She was born and raised in Michigan making her transition to Florida in 1994. One of Mrs. Tracey’s favorite places to relax is in her RV at a campground. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends at NASCAR races and traveling to see her granddaughter.
